The Lord brings many happy days to our family!

Our Kids know why it is important to go to church

†     Because it helps me to learn about Jesus.

†      Because it helps me to remember not to sin.

†      It makes me feel good because God knows that I believe in him and I learn about Jesus and God.

†      It is how we learn about Jesus and God.

†      We get to worship our father and make sure he knows we love him.

†      To learn about God and Jesus and to say prayers.

†      To learn about God because he died for our sins.

†      It is important to go to Sunday school to learn about God and Jesus.

†      It helps us learn what God does and we get to sing songs about him, too.

†      It is good to know the prayers and we get to practice in Sunday School.

†      It is fun to play games and do crafts about Jesus and God in Sunday School.

†      To learn about God and Jesus because that is who my dad lives with now.

Our kids tell us why Jesus and God are important to us

†     He is there for me, and helps me.

†      Because he made us.

†      Because they are the ones that let us live, and I love to
worship them!

†      Because he made me, the world, and forgives me of all my sins.

†      It makes me feel special because God gave his one and only Son for us.

†      Because he is there for me every second of the day and night.

†      So we can have eternal life.

The Lord brings many happy days to our family!

†   I think it is important to come to church so you can connect with God better. I also feel coming to church gives you a better look on things in your daily life. I think worshiping God is important because it helps you learn many good lessons and gets you closer to many of the stories of him. I think we worship God to learn about our faith even more. In the end I think we go to church and worship to learn even more about our faith.

†   It is important to find your faith. If your life is hard you have to talk to God for help. God will always forgive you and will always be there for you.

†   It is so important to come to church to show your faith and to have your sins forgiven. At this point in your life it should be a routine to show up for all the church activities. God has a huge role in your life, he is there for you when nobody else is, he listens to your problems but not because you are complaining it is because he trusts you and you trust him.

†   Going to church is so important, because it gives you a better connection with Jesus. Also you get to learn about Jesus and the parables he tells. Not only do you learn about Jesus you learn about the Gospels and all of Jesus’ disciples. You also learn about how the devil tempts you in all different ways. That is why it is important to go to church.

Thank you to the Youth and Sunday School Kids
for assisting in the service, sharing their thoughts
and encouraging their friends and family

We will be receiving more names in the near future and hope to have someone here very soon. Please continue to keep our church in your prayers that we will find a good leader and just the right pastor for us in the near future.

On behalf of the Des Moines VA CIHS patients and staff, we would like to extend our appreciation to you for your donation of lap quilts for Mason City VA Clinic. Your thoughtfulness reflects the concern that you feel for our veterans and for the service they provided to all of us while in service to our country. Without your support, we could not provide for the smaller niceties that make hospitalization more bearable. Your thoughtfulness also reflects the concern and compassion that our community feels for our veterans. Thank you for your continued support.
