Announcements

Call Committee Update: We have received several names and have interviewed two pastors. The committee did not feel that either of these people would be a good fit for us. We will be receiving more names in the near future and hope to have someone here very soon. Please continue to keep our church in your prayers that we will find a good leader and just the right pastor for us in the near future.

On behalf of the Des Moines VA CIHS patients and staff, we would like to extend our appreciation to you for your donation of lap quilts for Mason City VA Clinic. Your thoughtfulness reflects the concern that you feel for our veterans and for the service they provided to all of us while in service to our country. Without your support, we could not provide for the smaller niceties that make hospitalization more bearable. Your thoughtfulness also reflects the concern and compassion that our community feels for our veterans. Thank you for your continued support.

Call Committee update

The Call Committee has received two names to consider. We have one interview scheduled and are working on setting up the second one. We have been informed by the synod that we should take our time and ask that you the congregation would pray for the committee to make the best choice for our congregation.

Your help is needed!

Our youth is a crucial component to continuing to share and grow our fellowship. As parents and members of our congregation, your help is needed! We are currently exploring new ways to help encourage all youth (pre-school through high school) to join/participate in Sunday School program(s) and to become more integrated within our church. Please complete the questionnaire found in your bulletin box or that was mailed to you and return to any of the committee members below or slip into the wooden box at the back of the church by March 18th.

Thank you – Bill & Tammy Borchardt, Jody Hackbart and Nicole Cole

Call Committee Questionnaire

When you come into church on Sunday, Jan. 22, you should receive a questionnaire from the call committee. Please fill it out and return it as quickly as possible. You do not need to put your name on it. There is a box you may put them in when you exit today. Or if you prefer, you may mail them back to the church, or put them in the holder by Connie’s door at the church office. Thank you for your input as we move forward in the call process.
